On January 12 2010, Haiti was hit by its most devastating earthquake of the last 200 years. The magnitude 7.0 earthquake has left the already impoverished country with an ever increasing death count. As international aid agencies and government bodies race to assist the Haitian people, it is clear that full impact of the earthquake will be felt for many years to come be that socially, politically or economically.
