Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I really appreciate you taking a look at my JustGiving page. I have undertaken the challenge of trekking to the base camp of Mount Everest in aid of the British Heart Foundation. We will be trekking to a maximum altitude of 5,623m - that's a crazy height in itself (with Ben Nevis at an altitude of 1344 metres)!
My parents are both undertaking this challenge with me, and we hope to raise a huge amount of money for this fantastic charity. Though this is an amazing experience, we need your support to help us achieve our goal.
Here are some of the reasons why I support the work of the British Heart Foundation:
- Every 2 minutes someone has a heart attack and only half survive
- Coronary heart disease claims around 94,000 lives each year
- Around 1 in 145 babies are born with congenital heart disease
- An estimated 2.5 million people in the UK live with heart disease
- Women are 3 times more likely to die of coronary heart disease than breast cancer
The money that you help to raise will enable the BHF to research and develop methods to help save lives, here are some of the ways that the money that you donate will help the BHF:
- Vital research into the causes of heart disease and attacks/preventions/medication
- The training and employment of BHF Heart nurses who provide care that improves the quality of life for heart patients
- Heart equipment
- Education/ Awareness campaigns
On another note, I will be funding the cost of the trip myself and have already paid the £400 registration fee. So I just want you to know that ALL the money that you donate will be going to the BHF!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now. However big or small your donation, every penny counts!
Thanks so much,
Hanifa.xx
