Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you know I have endured severe mental health problems for the last couple of years. I have been through severe depression and self harm - struggling to see The Point Of It All, manic episodes - racing thoughts coupled with somewhat extortionate spending sprees and severe psychosis - believing that everyone was out to kill me resulting in a serious attempt to take my own life.
BUT...
I am still here to tell the tale.
And life is good.
I believe that I have been very fortunate in having an extensive support network to help me through these difficulties, including friends and family, and a community mental health team, all to whom I am extremely grateful. More recently I have been involved with the charity RETHINK, who have supported me through the recovery process even more so. They have allowed me to talk openly about my experiences with other sufferers, allowing me to slowly rebuild my confidence and self-esteem. They have also helped me move on from the illness, turn my life around completely and encourage me to achieve my long-term goal of returning to university to study mental health nursing (I am currently 2 months in, and loving it!!)
I owe such a lot to Rethink and with mental illness on the rise, having the ability to strike any one, at anytime, I would want nothing more than for other sufferers to be given the same chance as me to rebuild their life into a meaningful and enjoyable experience. With your donations, this is very real possibility, so please help Rethink to help others like me.
Please dig deep and donate now.
With many heartfelt thanks
Hannah
