Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Well it is less than a week to go and the two teams from Harrison Clark solicitors are getting nervous about walking the 52 mile Ridgewalk in aid of SENSE in 24 hours next weekend (Saturday 30 June/Sunday 1 July).

Can we thank the kind generousity of all our sponsors - corporate and personal alike.  Without you all we would not be at this point of the challenge.

Training walks are completed, kit purchased, and catering sampled! You will be able to follow our progress on the day via Twitter at #Ridgewalk2012.

As a reminder your fundraising efforts will enable Sense to fund the following:

£5 – Could buy a set of musical bells to help stimulate even the tiniest amount of a deafblind child’s hearing in music therapy.

£15 – Could pay for a tactile book to develop a child’s sense of sight and touch at a Sense family centre.

£25 – Could buy an interactive light tube to help stimulate a deafblind child’s remaining sight.

£50 – Could help pay for a deafblind child’s vital first assessment.

£700 – Could send a deafblind child on a dream holiday. These holidays not only provide life-changing experiences, full of fun, learning and special care but they also give carers and family members a well earned break allowing them to spend more quality time with other children and family.

£1,000 – Could enable Sense to buy a sonic chair at one of their day centers enabling more deafblind people to benefit from these sensations. Operated by a large button control these chairs heat up, massage different parts of the body, and vibrate at different frequencies.

So please dig deep and help us achieve our goal.
