We raise funds for those in desperate need to help bring some comfort and safety

Story

We are raising money to help a little boy to walk.

Harvey was born 6 weeks early in January 2010. In April 2011 he was diagnosed with spastic diplegia cerebral palsy. This condition effects the legs with little or no impact elsewhere, but without adequate management or treatment the damage will continue as he grows. Harvey is unable to balance or walk on his own, and chances are he may never do so.

There is an operation called SDR (selective dorsal rhisotomy) which cuts the nerves which send the wrong signals to his muscles - it's a life changing op for those lucky enough to receive it. This operation would considerably help this lad to walk, for the first time unaided. It will also mean the quality of the rest of his life will be better, and he'll need less care and have more opportunities open to him than wheel chair life would offer.

The op itself is around £50k which includes any further orthopedic surgery, physiotherapy, equipment and follow-up appointments. This doesn't include any flights or accomodation.

We are raising money to help Harvey receive that life changing operation. It will not only improve Harveys quality of life but all those that know and love him.

Thank you
