My story

Supporters of Hospitality Action with a taste for adventure are being called on to take part in a cycle ride from London to Paris this summer.  The charity hopes that the challenge of a lifetime will raise £20,000 for those in needs.

The route (300 miles approx) is considered to be one of the best cycling routes in Europe and goes through the heart of Tour de France country.

Two leading chefs have already signed up to take part. Michelin starred chef Alan Murchison of BBC 2’s The Great British Menu and Hayden Groves, Elior’s executive chef at Lloyds of London are both keen cyclists and eager to ‘ride’ to the challenge.

Alan says: “Cycling this number of miles in three days requires months of training, dedication and commitment. To do this event for such a worthy cause as Hospitality Action will make all the hard work and effort worthwhile.”

Hayden adds: “To ride 300 miles between two of the greatest cities in Europe is quite a challenge. However, to complete it in three days for such a worthy cause will be both a sporting achievement and a privilege. Our motto is 3 days, 2 wheels, 1 reason.”
