My story

 
Hello everyone,

I've volunteered to go to Mwanza, Tanzania, to help Bridge2Aid in February 2010, which means I have four months to raise the necessary £2,500.00 for the charity trip. 

Bridge2Aid provide much-needed dental services in a country with only 1 dentist to 800,000 people. The small team in Tanzania work tirelessly to help alleviate the suffering of hundreds of people, and rely on volunteers like myself to help them combat the disturbing DIY dentistry and poor understanding of oral hygiene.  Bridge2Aid do an exceptional job in exceptionally difficult circumstances and I feel proud to have been accepted to work for them.

To help raise money for the trip and my work while I'm out there, I set myself the Yorkshire Three-Peaks Challenge, which I completed in mid October, as per usual I completely under estimated the challange and over estimated my capabilities, however I did it. Paul did the walk with me and was quite simply, fantastic. It is the most wonderful trek in beautiful countryside , we managed it in an acceptable 11.5 hrs, appart from hardly being able to move the next day or the day after that....
