Cheka Sana means 'laugh a lot' in Swahili. The charity exists to provide street children in Tanzania with a better and brighter future. The charity has been set up in order to raise awareness and funds for the project Caretakers of the Environment Tanzania. The project runs and cares for 37 boys at an orphanage in Mwanza, north Tanzania. The project seeks to care for not only their basic needs, such as food, shelter and water, but also support their development through special programmes. The offices were tragically destroyed by a devastating fire on Easter Sunday and the orphanage is in urgent need of funds to continue the work of helping and providing for street children and orphans in the area.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
