Hello and thank you for visiting my Justgiving page.

My name is Helen I am 31 years old and live in Oulton Broad, Suffolk with my husband Jon.

I work as a Senior Pharmacy Technician at the James Paget Hospital and in my spare time I Dance at Venue of Performing arts and I am a third degree black belt in the traditional Korean martial art – Kuk Sool Won. I also like to run regularly and when I get the time I love to bake naughty cakes!!

On October 16 I will be travelling to North East Tanzania. When I arrive in Tanzania I will be travelling to Moshi which is a small town at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro where I will be volunteering in a local school project. Once I have completed my volunteering work I will be embarking on the challenge of a lifetime and taking 5 days to trek Mount Kilimanjaro. The trek will challenge me physically and mentally (especially as I don’t like bugs!!).

Mount Kilimanjaro is actually an extinct volcano, it is the highest mountain in the world that can be climbed without the use of climbing equipment. Kilimanjaro towers at a massive 19,340ft.

I am taking part in this challenge to raise money for our local charity, Help and East Coast Child.I have been set the target of raising £3,100 to take part in the trek but I intent to raise more than this to ensure Help an East Coast Child can benefit as much as possible from me completing the trek.

Every penny counts towards my final target so please be generous and give what ever you can to this amazing and worthwhile charity!!

Thank you

Helen
