My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

At the beginning of August 2011 my whole world fell apart when my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer.  All I keep thinking is "things like this don't happen to our family" because up until now, thank goodness, we have never experienced anything this upsetting.  

It's only been a couple of weeks since we found out but when something like this happens to a family, it puts everything into perspective and I now appreciate everybody so much more and don't moan about trival things.  Over the last few weeks I have been trying to set up my own business, so instead of sitting around moping and feeling sorry for myself I have thrown myself into the business so I can give my mum something to be proud of me for and so that I can also use it as a way to raise money for Breast Cancer.  

I am having my jewellery launch night on 18th August and I am donating 10% of all of the sales to Breast Cancer and following that I am going to continue to donate 2.5% of all of my sales as well for as long as my business lasts.  

I would really appreciate any donation from anyone, no matter how small.  There are so many millions of women, even men and their familes going through what we are going through right now and I would really like to do something to help.
