Story
Hello! I'm running 2 marathons in a week and hoping to raise lots of money for Brain Tumour Research in the process.
Brain tumours have had a big effect on the lives of several people close to me. Their impact can be devastating. More people under 40 die of a brain tumour than from any other cancer. Only 14% of those diagnosed with a brain tumour survive beyond 5 years (compared with 50% for all cancers). You can find out lots more information at http://www.braintumourresearch.org.
So I thought I'd run not one but two marathons:
The Virgin London Marathon on the 22nd April 2012 and the Greater Manchester Marathon on the 29th April 2012.
I've been doing a lot of running: long runs, short runs, runs as big as your head. Tempo runs, interval runs, yassos, ladders, hill runs, runs to the physio, runs away from the physio (that massage really hurts!). Runs in the rain, wind, ice and snow. Post-run stretches, ice baths, and I'm growing heartily sick of bananas...;) So basically, I'm doing a right load of running. And it would be great if you could help me to raise a right load of money in the process!
Any donation, little or large would be great.
Thanks so much for all your support.
Love Helena x
