 Team Hot Running will be competing in the 2009 Marathon Des Sables.  This 6 day, 150+ mile race through the Sahara Desert is known as "the toughest footrace on earth".

We are fortunate enough to have good health and have the opportunity to push ourselves to the limit in this event.  However, cancer sufferers and their families have to face far greater challenges every day.

That is why we are raising funds for the Maggie's Centres.  We are aiming high and attempting to raise £25,000.  This will pay for a counsellor for a year.

In our local Dundee centre alone, more than 250 people every week make use of the Maggie's facility so this is clearly a valuable asset for the community.
