Vital Regeneration, a charity partner of RMG and an organisation of which I am a trustee, are an agency working for positive change in ’s most deprived neighbourhoods by developing sustainable and effective social, environmental and economic programmes.

I am taking part in the 2009 Santa run in Greenwich park on 6 December to help raise funds for VR and I would appreciate your support.

All the money I raise will go towards helping the charity to continue to deliver its high impact programmes such as:

 

·         HELP: Homelessness, Employment & Learning project (HELP) which benefits hundreds of homeless people living in temporary accommodation across the City.  Your funds will go towards helping beneficiaries, assisting them in their aspirations to train, move into work and open up their housing options. 

·         Homework Clubs: Offers children who live in cramped, over-crowded accommodation in the inner-city a safe, stimulating and friendly environment to learn, do homework, socialise and make friends. 

·         Silver Café:  Provides an opportunity for older people, experiencing isolation, to take part in IT-related activities in a sociable and friendly environment.  Young volunteers offer a helping hand to older people, supporting with everything from sending e-mails to using YouTube.
