Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Me and my buddy Rochelle Dargan have decided to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in August! It is an huge challenge but it will be an amazing experience and we hope to raise as much money as possible for Marie Curie Cancer Care. We've both had people close to us suffer from various forms of cancer so this is a charity that is close to our hearts.
I've decided to cover the costs of the trek myself so any money that is donated through this page goes directly to Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Marie Curie has 2,000 nurses in the UK and last year they worked for 1,300,000 hours caring for terminally ill patients, including half of all cancer patients who die at home.
They also provide hospices which are vibrant and homely to help people with terminal illnesses achieve the best possible quality of life. This care is provided free to patients and families.
Marie Curie nurses are truely inspiring people who dedicate their lives to providing help and comfort to people in their own homes in the days of thier lives.
The support they received meant that in 2012-13 more than 38,777 people were given the choice of where and how to spend their final days.
As you will agree it is a wonderful charity and your support and donations will help them continue their work and care for people suffering from this horrendous disease.
For more information about Marie Curie Cancer Care, please vist their website http://www.mariecurie.org.uk/
We will keep you up to date with our training, fundraising and the climb itself.
