Hello - and thank you for visiting my justgiving page.

The issue of Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is close to my heart as a dear friend, a father of teenagers, and long term loyal colleague, was diagnosed with MND is April 2008.
The amazing strength he and his family have shown in coping with this situation is nothing short of inspirational.

With no cure, half die within 14 months of diagnosis. Thankfully MND is rare , but that also means there's a lack of money to fund research and development , and support for those affected .

For 12 days in May 2010 , I trekked the 192 mile Wainwright Coast to Coast route from the Irish Sea to the North Sea, through the Lake District, North Pennines, Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors to help raise awareness and money towards research in finding a cure and treatments for this devastating condition.

Fundraising hasn't stopped though and we still NEED MONEY . I know this is a difficult financial time for most of us, but  please donate what you can and as much as you can so we can make a difference.

Donations can be made here on justgiving, or please send your cheque direct to me, payable to

"Iain Melvin C2C for MND" where it will go straight into my MND dedicated Natwest account –

c/o MPS ,
