Thanks for taking the time to visit our team's JustGiving page.

We're raising money for leukaemia research because one of our cycling club colleagues received such excellent care recently when he had leukaemia.

We're all cyclists from the north of England. Alan, JJ, Antony and I are in the Port Sunlight Wheelers. Antony and I are also members of Seacroft Wheelers. John had the key job of driving the support vehicle - without him the ride would not have been possible.

On 5th September we drove down to Land's End and then on the following day we started cycling towards John O'Groats. Our overnight stops were in Okehampton, Bristol, Shrewsbury, Lancaster, Moffat, Perth, Inverness and John O'Groats. We averaged over 100 miles each day.

We trainined since the end of 2009, averaging 200 miles per week - though we upped that to 250 in March and 300 in April. We completed some back-to-back hundreds in the early summer. If you're interested in finding out more about our training rides a good starting point would be the news section of the Seacroft Wheelers website (www.seacroftwheelers.co.uk).

Drakes Cycles in Leeds (www.drakescycles.co.uk) provided inner tubes for the ride.

A selection of the photos from our ride are here for you to see.

We feel really proud of our achievement, of the way we supported each other when things were bad and of the way John unselfishly supported all of us during the ride.
