Update 1st June: well, I did my leg of LEJOG (nothing in comparison to Pete's 1,000 mile odyssey, like!):
Day 1, 50 miles - Newby, Cumbria to Waterbeck, Dumfries and Galloway
Day 2, 64 miles - Waterbeck to New Lanark
Day 3, 88 miles (!) - New Lanark to Crianlarich
Day 4, 57 miles - Crianlarich to Glen Nevis
All in what can only be described as "traditionally Scottish" weather!!!
Thanks to all that have donated so far, not far to go now to reach my target, which I know will be hugely appreciated by the ADDER team...
For four days in May, I'm joining that other "Richmond Ranger" - Pete Blows (aka "The Hobbit"), as he cycles from England into Scotland as part of his Land's End to John O'Groats (aka LEJOG) challenge.
Coincidentally, my Dad is going back into hospital on the same date (23rd May), in relation to his ongoing suffering from localised dystonia. So, I'll be raising money for A.D.D.E.R. (see below).
250 miles in four days - from Newby in Cumbria, through Dumfries & Galloway; Lanarkshire; Glasgow; past Loch Lomond, and finally into Fort William, home to Ben Nevis - my route will be a major challenge for an irregular cyclist like myself...
Please give generously to a cause that often struggles for funds, given its low profile in comparison to many other, well-known charities.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Cheers.
