Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page in memory of Lynn Sanford.
Mom spent the last few years in the far north of Scotland, in a small town called Forres, somewhat off the beaten track.
When treatment was required for her illness, mom had to spend much time in Aberdeen to receive exhausting radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatments in Aberdeen.
Mom faced a minimum 4 hour dailly round trip to receive these treatments for the consecutive days required, until she found out about Cancer Link Aberdeen & North (CLAN) which provides transport to and from the hospital for appointments from within Aberdeen, a place to stay, a huge range of complimentary therapies and above all a fantastic atmosphere.
As soon I arrived back from Australia in February I spent a week visiting Mom there and was taken-a-back at how positive, lively, humorous and friendly fellow guests and staff were given the nature of the reason for everyone being there!
They were fantastic to Mom, as a thankyou and to ensure that those wonderful people in the far north of scotland continue to have access to treatments to overcome cancer, please give donations to this fantastic service instead of cards of condolences and flowers - especially as mom was never too fond of flowers.
Her Sons,
Louis & Leroy
