Alex and I are going to visit up to 33 churches this weekend with another couple. The husbands are "riding" (cycling) and the wives are "striding" (ambling - my friend has had a knee operation recently). So if you could sponsor Alex and me as a unit that would be great. Sussex has a significant number of ancient churches which continue to make a central contribution to the communities in Sussex, providing a welcome to all and a fascinating insight into past history. The number of people living in these areas have reduced but the churches are historic monuments that are expensive to maintain. We often go to Coates Church, pictured above, dating back to about 1100 with Norman features still visible. Alex's father is interred there.
