Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The Italian Job touring event began in 1990 and has since then raised over £2.5 million pounds for children's charities across the UK and in other countries where teams who take part come from. The motto has always been "raising money for children in a fun way".
The Italian Job is know as one of the most fun events on the social motoring event calendar and celebrated it's 25th anniversary in 2014. Ian and I took part in this very memorable trip - we met some amazing people and places, drove round two Formula One race tracks, had a police escort through Turin - which included driving through red light, horns blaring ( this was so much fun!) and visiting some of the places where the original Italian Job was filmed. The hospitality of the Italians was amazing and we all had a very humbling experience when we visited a local orphanage with gifts for the local children too.
This was a holiday we will never forget - visiting a variety of countries with a group of like minded individuals and raising money for young people at the same time...very rewarding. Ian and I recently visited Pens Meadow School in Dudley with other "Jobbers" to be able to see the end result of our fund raising - a very large red "Sunshine Coach" which will be of benefit to all the youngsters who attend this school. Their quality of life will be enhanced as they are now able to get out and about more easily - this is something we all take for granted - a wonderful experience and such a pleasure to meet the staff and children.
The touring event dates are from October 29th with the Navigational Rally starting in Rome to the 7th November finishing in the UK - any support we receive will be much appreciated.
