Many of you will know that I grew up in Zimbabwe and that, as a result, the desperate situation of so many in that country is particularly poignant to me.
As I attempt to splutter, wheeze and stagger my way round 70.3 miles of swimming, biking and running in the New Forest on 20 September, I will be raising money for those in Zimbabwe who walk further than that every week to get water or to get to school, or who simply can't walk that far because they have not had enough to eat.
The Zimbabwe Benefit Foundation does fantastic work. Do look at their website, http://www.zbf.org.uk/, for more details.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Please dig deep! Many thanks.
John
