Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page for my Women for Women 450kms Cycle Challenge!!

Funds raised by Women For Women will be spent on ground breaking medical research to improve the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a range of devastating conditions affecting women and their babies.  This includes brain injury, miscarriage, infertility, cancer, polycystic ovary syndrome, pre-eclampsia and genetic diseases such as cystic fibrosis and muscular dystrophy. Despite countless breakthroughs in medical science, we still do not understand why some pregnancies will end in tragedy.  We can all imagine the desperation and sadness of parents who lose a baby, and the life shattering impact that a seriously ill child has on a family.

I will be joining many women for this good cause. I will be travelling to Beijing, China on the 30th April 2011, to commence 5 days cycling through tough mountainous terrain, alongside rivers and through steep gorges, past tiny villages, ancient tombs and historical landmarks. The days are set out below..

Day 1 - Shun Yi - Ping Gu - 93kms approx.

Day 2 - Ping Gu - Five Towers (Miyun Reservoir) - 101kms approx.

Day 3 - Five Towers - Mitianyu - Ming Tombs - 106kms approx.

Day 4 - Ming Tombs - Yong Ning  - 103kms approx.

Day 5 - Yong Ning - Badaling Great Wall - Ju Yong Pass - 46kms approx.

I will keep you all updated as to the funds I raise, the events I am planning and how my training is going!!

So please dig deep and donate now it's for a very good cause!!!

thank you all again.. any donations will be gratefully received!!

Jackie x
