On 25th-27th September I will be riding in the Extra Mile Loire Challenge - 500 miles through France with my team mates Claire, Bev and Fiona to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

For those that have cycled with me will know, I find climbing hills a real challenge, especially steep ones!!! My heart is racing just thinking about it!!  Starting in Rouen, we will ride through Upper & Lower Normandy, through the Alpes Mancelle, to Le Mans. (And that's just the first day!!) From Le Mans we hit the Mulsanne straight, Indianapolis and Arnage corners of the famous race track, then head for the Loire National Park, cycling along the banks of the Loire and the Indre then on to Amboise. Day 3 takes us on a circular route of the Loire Valley. On day 4 we lie down...!!!

Its all in a good cause so please dig deep and support us. Cystic Fibrosis is the UK's most common life threatening inherited disease and affects over 8,000 people in the UK. Cystic Fibrosis affects the internal organs, expecially the lungs and digestive system, by clogging them with thick sticky mucus. This makes it hard to breathe and digest food.Scientists are close to finding a cure for this horrible disease, but it costs around £4 million a year, so we are going to peddle those bikes (and no doubt sweat, blood, and tears) to try and give them a helping hand.
