Education is something many of us in the UK take for granted. However, for children of the Philippines, schooling is costly and many are desparate to be educated. Without appropriate funding, children are often forced to leave school at an early age - or not go at all.

In November I will be heading to the area of Luzon to climb three volcanoes (2 of which are active!) to raise funds for the Scottish Filipino Charity. The charity aims to support underpriviledged children in the Philippines in need of financial support and by raising money through your donations, we hope to provide them with a chance of a better future.

This is a cause that is close to my heart. My mother was forced to leave school aged just 14  and since then has always wished she could have continued on. This is a daunting task so, please to dig deep and donate generously. Thank you.
