Thanks for checking my page out! I'm fund-raising to go to a town in Ghana called Hohoe in 2011 with the explorers to help refurbish the Hohoe hospital mothers lodge where families stay to help tend to their loved ones. The Harpenden explorers have been to Hohoe several times before the last time building a community center for local Ghanaian scouts and the community. It is a really worth-while cause because it will enable families to be closer to their loved ones while in hospital and will help them to care for them better. To reach my personal fund-raising target I need to raise £1500!
So far for my fund-raising I have had a stall at several car boot sales and done a lot of babysitting. However, on the 2nd of May 2010 a group of us including my Dad will be embarking on a sponsored bike-ride of over 50 miles from Harpenden to London. We will be following a route including Hemel Hempstead, Uxbridge and, of course London partly following The Grand Union Canal and going through Hyde Park in the center of London finishing at Baden Powell house and the Ghanaian High Commision.
