We help people with ME/CFS to understand and survive their illness

Story

ME (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis), or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is a debilitating, and very long term illness. It robs sufferers of all their energy and severely impacts their quality of life. Despite this, not much is known about this illness and a cure seems even further away.

My Mum has suffered from ME for almost as long as I can remember and so my sister Christina and I decided to run this race to help the ME Association in their work. Growing up with the disease, both of us know very well the impact it can have on people's lives. Hopefully, the ME Association can use our support to help other families suffering from ME and make their lives just a little easier.

You can see Christina's page here should you wish to split the donation between us: https://www.justgiving.com/Christina-Pearce2/

The ME Association (www.meassociation.org.uk) does wonderful work in support of sufferers of ME and I need your help to support them.

If you want to find out more about the ME, I also found the wiki useful:

Thanks very much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Please donate anything that you can, no amount is too small, even £1 will help this worthy cause.

The ME Association campaigns hard to get ME recognised as a severe neurological illness. Our helpline provides essential information and support to adults and children who have ME/CFS, and to their families and carers. We also fund biomedical research into the physical nature and causes of ME/CFS.
