Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. As some of you know Siobhan (and I) received quite a shock last Summer with her diagnosis of cancer. That is probably an understatement. It was a rare form of cancer (described to us at the outset as something a GP might see once in their career). The tumour was also somewhat advanced. Not seemingly many upsides but one then became clear. The cancer's rarity had seen a specialist team established at the QE. Siobhan was referred to that team. We were incredibly fortunate to have such support , treatment & advice fom the outset. Nothing was hidden from us. Siobhan had to undergo aggressive treatment thro' that Summer. We are not out of the woods yet but the path is becoming pretty clear & thoughout Siobhan has had first class treatment & support. That continues. Anyway this oaf agreed (after too much red wine) to run (ok plod/stumble) the Loch Ness marathon. The QE is trying to raise £5M to buy this type of machine which increases the options for patients diagnosed with previously inoperable or surgically complex tumours. We are in tough times but any support you can give to this unit would be greatly appreciated

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
