What seemed like broadly a good idea in front of the fire in the middle of winter is now nearly all too real. The challenge of doing something equivalent to ten marathons back to back in less than five days with almost no sleep is just starting to dawn on me.
Knowing that I’m helping to fund vital research projects at GOSH that will improve the lives of children after transplant, that might otherwise not get off the ground, I hope will see me through.
We race from the Palace of Westminster down the Thames, across the English Channel, and then up the Seine from Le Havre to Paris, finishing opposite the Eiffel Tower at Pont D'Iena. The course covers a distance of 420 nautical miles, including almost 150 miles of open sea. The boat has a transponder and I hope that you will follow our progress in real time from the 9 to the 15 May at on www.london2parisrow.com
I CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR YOUR HELPING US TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
