Story

Post-Event:

Many thanks to to all of you for you sponsorship and support.

We spent a couple of glorious days in the sunshine up in the Lake District for the Great North Swim.

The swim went well, I managed to glide to the finish line for 33 minutes and 44 seconds  - water temperature was a warm 15.5 - 16 degrees.  I think I've still got a way to go to catch up with some of the elite swimmers -  circa 18:00 minutes :-)

Thank you all once again, we managed to raise £445 for CP Sport

Hi y'all!

I am taking part in the Great North Swim on Sunday 13th September (the second day of the weekend-long event) to raise money for Cerebral Palsy Sport.

It is a one mile open water swim in Lake Windermere this is about 65 lengths of a normal swimming pool.

If you could support me by sponsoring me, I would be very grateful.  If you can only spare a pound or two, it will still be greatly appreciated and will all add up.

All the funds raised will help Cerebral Palsy Sport improve the lives of people with disabilities through sport.  Many of us take for granted how easy it is to go for a run, play football, swim etc, but for lots of people with cerebral palsy, access to sport is just not that easy.  The charity provides sporting opportunities from grass-roots to elite performance and members of the charity have won more Paralympic medals than any other organisation.  Cerebral Palsy Sport's work is life changing and gives many isolated people improved self-confidence, mobility and the opportunity to build life long friendships with others who understand their difficulties.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thanks for your support.

All the best

James
