My friend and his partner lost their 5 month old son Billy to Mitochondrial disease and are determined to fight this condition by raising funds for the Lily Foundation, the charity aims to give hope , answers and support to the many other children and families that face the challenges of this disease today. So when I was asked to do the 24hr Three Peaks Challenge I couldn't say no. We have two teams, one of under 40's and one of over 40's (I'm in this one!!) and the race is on. So please help me to raise as much as I can to fight this disease. Here is a rather sobering thought to end on, every 20 minutes a child is born who will develop Mitochondrial Disease by the age of 16. (Please note our challenge is on the 24th June, not the 16th as stated above).
