9 months ago my mum, Val, was diagnosed with breast, ovarian and bone cancer. 2 weeks ago, we were told she had an aggressive brain tumour and had days to live... a week ago on the 21st November 2009 she lost the fight and passed away at home.
St Michael's Hospice is a fantastic charity, their 24/7 'hospice at home' team helped with my mum's care and without them we would not have been able to give my mum the care that she needed.
Now I need your help... you might be a family member, a friend, you might not know me that well... possibly not at all... but I need to raiase as much money for this charity and i have under 2 weeks to do it!! (The training regime begins now... arghhh!!)
I am taking part in the St Michael's Hospice Santa Fun Run on Sunday 13th December at Alexandra Park in Hastings. Yes, i will be dressing us in a festive costume... to be confirmed (suggestions greatly appreciated... as wacky as possible!!)
I know its Christmas and times are tough... but even £1 will make a difference, please email this to your friends and family too... if they are from Hastings, they will have heard of St Michaels Hospice and will know what a fantastic job they do!
