As September is IIH Awareness month I've decided to hold a sponsored Head Shave to raise awareness and hopefully lots of money for this wonderful charity that is working so hard to fund research into this rare neurological condition and the support they give to their members is awesome and this is my way of saying thank you for being there.

As most of you know, I suffer from Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension which means my body produces too much spinal fluid which in turn puts immense pressure on my brain causing numerous symptoms from severe headaches, memory, balance and visual problems to blindness.  I have already had a Lumbar Plural Shunt inserted but after numerous hospital visits and stays it is now necessary for me to have brain surgery to have another shunt placed in my head which will drain the spinal fluid in to my plural cavity.
