IT'S OFFICIAL - I AM CRAZY!!!
I will be rowing from Cambridge to Ely on Saturday 3rd September 2011 to raise funds for Headway Cambridgeshire.
Headway Cambridgeshire is a charity that gives help and support to people affected by brain injury. It does this locally, offering a wide range of services including rehabilitation programmes, carer support, social re-integration, community outreach and respite care throughout Cambridgeshire.
As if the 21km stretch of water, and the two locks, were not challenging enough, the novice (!) crew (my colleagues at Tees) have little or no previous rowing experience and we will be rowing a sweep oar eight !
I am pretty convinced I am going to end up in the river at least once, and am certain that my hands and calves will be wrecked by the end.
Please please sponsor me to help support people with a brain injury, and, of course, come and cheer from the banks as well, if you are around!
Janine
