<p>I am raising money for my friend's little boy Luca.</p>
<p>Luca is a beautiful 3 year old who was struck down with Meningococcal Septicaemia in early January and his life changed forever…This horrendous disease ravaged every part of his body in hours and left him fighting for his life! With less than a 3% chance of survival Luca pulled through h<span class="text_exposed_show">owever he was not unscathed… <br>Luca lost both of his legs and all of his tissue, some muscle and skin below his hips. He has massive skin and tissue and muscle loss across his arms and shoulders and is now fighting to save his knees which have been severely damaged.<br><br>His mum and dad are raising funds to cover the huge costs of equipment and prosthetics giving Luca every chance to excel in every aspect of his future.</span></p>

<p><span class="text_exposed_show">The challenge I have set myself is to swim a marathon in 2 weeks... that is almost 2 miles a day! Some of you may know I only learned to swim properly this year (could manage 3 strokes and a bubble before!) so it feels like a worthy challenge and it is without doubt a very worthy cause!</span></p>
<p><span class="text_exposed_show">I am going to undertake this challenge from 2nd - 15th July at my local pool and will keep you updated with progress along the way!</span></p>
