My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my climbing Everest (8,848m) for Breast Cancer Care JustGiving page.

One in eight women are affected by breast cancer.

My cousin, Selina, was diagnosed with breast cancer at a young age. She has been through an extremely traumatic few years, but has come through with the help of Breast Cancer Care.

Breast Cancer Care is just a phone call or mouse click away for anyone living with breast cancer. Their free Helpline and information-packed website offer a friendly ear and expert guidance to people dealing with the turmoil of this life-threatening illness. Across the UK they also offer professional support through a range of confidential, face-to-face services, helping people every step of the way.

I leave for Everest on 2nd April 2011. The whole climb will take 69 days and I will hopefully stand on the summit at 8848m (hence my fundraising target!)

This is a great opportunity to raise money for a good cause such as Breast Cancer Care. All proceeds will go to charity and not to fund the climb. One third of the funds raised will go towards fighting breast cancer in Mauritius through LinkToLife.

So, please dig deep and donate generously. Donating through JustGiving is completely secure.
