Hello! Thanks for visiting this page. I seek your kind support for a beautiful project called Isha Vidhya. A project which, run wholly by volunteers, helps children dream again. Let us together make every child dare to dream again ;-)
So what do they do? - The foundation educates the under-privileged children of India in rural Tamil Nadu who would otherwise be working in manually intensive jobs from a very young age. They also provide possibly the kids' only hot meal of the day.
My involvement so far? - I have volunteered with the Isha Foundation for a year and a half and feel privileged to have met so many amazing, selfless, inspiring people. People who give up their time to do stuff for others, with boundless energy, day in day out, beautifully and simply without wanting anything back in return. My volunteer work has been limited to "helping out" whereever I can mainly at the Isha courses in London but I now seek to get more involved in fundraising.

How much does it cost to educate a child? - As little as £120 for a whole year!!!
So what are we doing to help Isha Vidhya? -
1) Ranjit and I did a very enjoyable 5k walk on the 20th September 2009 at Bushey Park in Hampton! The highlight was walking with and seeing so many beautiful deer, from young bucks to wise old deer!
2) Our girls, Ishani & Anushri, have sponsored 2 children, Naveen & Sri Tharani, at Isha Vidhya - please browse pictures of Tharani & Naveen above. We, at first hand, have seen our money being used wisely and completely on the cause. As the schools are run purely by volunteers, we know every pound gets utilised efficiently.
3) It is a milestone birthday for me this year - 21 again you know - so I kindly ask those of you that wish to give me a gift or card, to please give me a donation instead via this justgiving site. Thank you.
