Story
This event aims to raise funds to support Mothers’ Union project work. Projects like the one in Sudan where Mothers’ Union learners, as a result of making a small profit from an cultivation programme, are now able to buy cups and plates which they hire out for weddings and other social events. And a project in Ethiopia where Mothers’ Union supply cooking pots to families arriving in refuge camps from nearby Sudan.
On July 10th 2010 I will bake 1,000 individual portions of cake in the church centre of my local Mothers’ Union branch.Cakes will be baked in the oven, on a griddle pan and refrigerator cake in the fridge. It is just about possible for one person to achieve this as I will not be using a food processor or blender, just a spoon and knife and hand whisk.
Thank you to Food Fayre of West Kirby for sponsoring the ingredients for the cakes.
