The scale of the work at Eden Animal Rescue is enormous; annually the centre cares for an average of 400 cats, 150 dogs, not to mention many hedgehogs, wild birds, rabbits, hamsters and any other animal which comes our way!
Having only two part time employees, we rely heavily on the work of volunteers, both in fundraising and in the caring for the animals.
I personally don't have the free time to give to the animals but one thing I can do is to help raise funds to support the charity. Anyone who knows me will recall the grimace on my face whilst running a race and will know this is no easy task so please support me. What I do enjoy is getting the kick out of raising money for good causes and the support of family and friends in achieving this.
The charity needs to raise about £80,000 per year to break even SO PLEASE HELP AN OLD GIRL TO RAISE FUNDS & GET SOME BLISTERS BUT ENJOY A PINT AT THE END OF THE RACE!! - I AM COUNTING ON YOU.
