Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running (yes running which is quite unbelievable in itself) a half marathon (even more unbelievable, as when I signed up for this I hadn’t even run half a mile…ever!) on February 26th in my home town, Brighton.

I am running for the Lily Foundation who supported two of my friends Matt and Claire, through the toughest of times, when they lost their daughter Lauren, to mitochondrial disease. The Lily Foundation supported Matt and Claire when Lauren was diagnosed, when she passed away and they continue to support them both today.

Here's their story https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NuUPKqc3TAc

The Lily Foundation are committed to finding a cure for mitochondrial disease through; research, raising awareness for the disease and give invaluable support to families like Matt and Claire’s.

Please donate anything you can to support such a worthy cause, share my Facebook post and watch Matt and Claire's video and I promise to post pictures of me crawling across the finish line – probably after everyone else has packed up and gone home!!
