People that know me will know that running 1 mile doesn't exactly come naturally.....let alone 13, not only that but I have decided to run the Eden Project 1/2 which is possibility the hilliest 13 miles in the Country. It's going to be hard!
The money I am raising is going to go towards providing assistive technology for people United Response support in .
Almost half of the people we support cannot speak. Your support could help us to buy small fairly inexpensive items that can make a huge difference to peoples lives. For example:
- £20 could buy a talking watch to help someone who finds it difficult to tell the time £60 could buy a communication aid with twelve message buttons, each carrying up to 10 seconds of speech, sound or music. This would help someone with no speech to communicate simple messages £100 could buy a ‘big switch’. This would allow someone who may have just one body movement that they can control, to say yes or no - possibly for the first time in their life.
