Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We ran the ING New York City Marathon on 1 November 2009 and loved almost every minute. You can still donate and help us reach our target of £4350.
We did it for SCOPE, the disability organisation whose focus is people with cerebral palsy.
Cerebral palsy is a wide-ranging condition and can affect people in many different ways - although it often impacts on movement, posture and co-ordination. This may be seen at or around the time of birth or may not become obvious until early childhood. Cerebral palsy is more common than generally realised and it is believed that about one in every 400 children is affected by the condition - with about 1,800 babies diagnosed in the UK each year.
If you feel able to support us, we would be very grateful. Simply donate at [webpage]
. It is quick, easy and secure. Justgiving sends your donation straight to SCOPE and automatically reclaims Gift Aid if you're a UK taxpayer, so your donation is worth even more. A £7 donation would cover the cost of a call to the support and advice service, £21 pays for a worker to make a home visit for an hour to offer advice and support for parents and £50 pays for a support worker to look after a disabled child for three hours - giving the parents a break. Thanks in advance, we really appreciate you helping us support this worthy cause.
Bring it on...
