We counted eight of Team Giles out at the start of the New York Marathon and we counted eight of Team Giles home at the finish. Mission accomplished by whole team in times varying from 4 hours 24 mins to 6 hours 24 mins.  The course is considered the most difficult city marathon course in the World. Jenny did it in 6 hours 7 mins, crossing the line hand in hand with me. It was a miraculous performance by her considering she only recently completed, 6 months ago, one and a half years of chemotherapy, radiotherapy and major surgery. Also she has never run a step in her life previously but she was helped and inspired a lot by all the amazing support we have had from your sponsorship and good wishes. As I write this we have reached a figure of £16,853 raised for Macmillan Cancer Relief, including gift aid, which we could not have dreamed of but is so pleasing because it is such a worthy organisation doing such invaluable work.
