The abseil was brillant and I really enjoyed it! It wasn't as scary as I thought it would be, just a little high when your standing at the very top! Wish I could do it again!
Sorry there is only one photo, for some reason there is a problem and I thought I had fixed it and that there were too many photos, so deleted some, however it only yet me upload one after deleting about three...
Thanks to everyone for their sponsors and support! (My parents especially for diving me for two hours there and back!)
On the 7th February 2010 (during 'Save the Whale Week') I did a 100ft abseil down Bristol's Avon Gorge to raise money for the WDCS. Please give what you can.
It will be really appreciated by me and all the whales! =D
I want to become more involved in these campaigns, and make a difference. One way I think I can make a change is to work with dolphins and whales in the future, going to Falmouth Marine Collage to study Marine Biology will hopefully be the first step!
Since commercial whaling was ‘banned’ more than 30,000 whales have been killed! It normally takes hours for a whale to die!
Dolphins and whales are both more intelligent than people think, check out this link for just one example of just how clever dolphins really are: http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/2003/jul/03/research.science
