About the SEI
The Scottish Epilepsy Initiative supports the 40,000 people living with epilepsy in Scotland. The reality of this illness and the emotional effects it has upon children and adults are barely understood by society, for example exclusion from day to day activities and social scenes, fear of loss of bladder control, not to mention fear of death.

Saturday 27th March, 7.30pm at Randolph Road! Tonight we are having a party to raise money for our half way deadline of £5000! We have lots of wine, a buffet, cheesey music, sing star, rock bands, Sahara slide shows, and a raffle to win a weekend away at an Apex hotel of your choice! Half of our Sahara trekkers joining us at our party to share stories of our trek too! £10 donation for entry! COMPLETED EVENTS Event 8 - Trek Across the Sahara Dessert!!!!!!!! Friday 19th February - Sunday 28th February We made it!! We treked 100km across the Sahara desert for 10 days sleeping on sand dunes under the stars, no straighteners, no chocolate and then we ran out of wine!!!! FOR SALE Jen brought back some sand from the top of Chagaga and some fossils- Buy Now ;) __________________________________________________________________________________________
Event 7 - OMG!! Bag Packing!! Sunday 31st January, Asda in Bishopbriggs We spent 4 and a half hours solid packing without a break - we didn't find out until after we had finished that there was a canteen we could go to for a break!! But we had a very hardworking and successful day raising in total (with a little addition from my mum and sister) £400!!!! __________________________________________________________________________________________ Event 6 - Can Collection at Eastwood Theatre Saturday 30th January, St Ninian's High School It was our 7 year annversary and we spent a lovely afternoon together eating mexican food and trying to keep my mind off my grief. We then came back to raise some money at the Eastwood theatre for our trek. We raised just under £100!!

Ceilidh, Drinks & Nibbles
Friday 29th January, 7.30pm, Glasgow City Chambers
A fantastic and drunken evening was enjoyed by all (but me who couldn't make it!!) with the Caledonian Fiddle Orchestra. Great night, I'm so sorry that I missed it, but my 29 year old pony had to be put to sleep this week and I was feeling rather sorry for myself... :((((

Glasgow Hawks SEI Charity Day
Saturday 7th November, 3pm kick off (Glasgow High School, Jimmy Ireland Stand)
At this event we raised over £500 - thank you to Glasgow Hawks Rugby Club who let us carry out this event and to all who donated, took part in the raffle and to Demijohn on Byres Road - selling exclusive oils, vinagarettes, and liquours in very unusual bottles!!
