I am running on behalf of the newly merged Age Concern and Help the Aged charity. Their mission is to promote the well-being of all older people and to help make later life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience. Just to give you an idea of how the money is spent;
· £1,000 provides emergency heaters, fuel vouchers, blankets and food parcels for 400 older people at risk· £100 provides help to five housebound or isolated pensioners who desperately need benefits but don’t know how to claim them
· £50 provides an emergency heater· £20 provides 20 personal visits to older people in their homes
· £10 provides a winter clothes pack· £5 provides an extra warm blanket for the winter months
