My story
we must be mad.... still here we go.....at a combined age of 76 father and son are embarking on our first marathon - London April 22 !.....
The Art Room is an amazing charity based here in Oxford, but now in London as well and with ambitions to grow further see http://www.theartroom.org.uk/. Our friend Juli started it up eleven years ago and we have lots of other friends involved. They make a massive difference in a brilliant and unique way to young people who need help, using art as therapy.
They have recently pulled off the coup of landing the Duchess of Cambridge as their Patron - as Juli says " a fantastic endorsement of the work we do and the role that art and creativity can play in helping children and young people whose start in life has been difficult."
It is a constant effort for the Art Room to raise money to keep going and keep growing, so thank you for helping us to help them!!!

Well we made it! 4.09 for Jack 4.31 for Jeremy completely immobile today but mighty relieved and happy - THANK YOU ALL for magnificent support Juli and the team at the Art Room are delighted and say your money will make a real difference!

The Art Room offers art as therapy to children and aged 5-16 using art to raise their self esteem, self confidence and independence. Our aim is to avoid exclusion and help children 'learn and achieve through art' and to help re-engage back in to main stream school.
