Welcome to Jeremy's Fundraising Page

I have agreed to participate in Leasedrive Velo's 261-mile group charity bike ride from Wokingham, Berkshire to Le Mans, France this coming June in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care. Marie Curie Cancer Care is one of the UK's largest charities employing more than 2,700 nurses, doctors and other healthcare professionals. Marie Curie are expecting to provide care for around 29,000 terminally ill patients in the community and in their hospices this year, along with support for their families.

I am riding with a team of 15 other people who are all aiming to raise a combined minimum total of £5,000 for charity. The team includes Paul Newman, Karen Bowen, Tim Howett, Matt Lenton, Matt Boxsey, Sarah Simmonds, Richard Simmonds, Jonathan Apps, Ed Pigg, John Wilson, Jason Zimmer, John Evans, Jim Crooks, Steve Harris and John Whitmarsh.

For all of the latest photos and news regarding the ride please visit the official Wokingham to Le Mans website at:

The Challenge

We start from Leasedrive Velo's offices in Wokingham at 8.00am on Saturday June 26 and will ride 53.8 miles to Portsmouth before catching a ferry to Cherbourg, where we will stay overnight.

Day two will start painfully for most at a more civilised 9.00am start time and will cover 71.5 miles between Cherbourg and Granville.

Day three will be all about getting through the day and will see us ride 71.4 miles between Granville and Laval.

The final day from Laval is a mere 64.3 miles into Le Mans.

After celebrations and a much deserved rest, we return home by minibus on Wednesday, June 30.

Please Dig Deep and Sponsor me Online

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me. Marie Curie will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please sponsor me today!

Many thanks for your support.

Jeremy
