Thankyou to everyone for donating to Sustrans!!!
The challenge was a big success with 18 intrepid riders completing the 3 day 189 mile trip. The second day Saturday was by far the worst, with 85 miles done in around 8 hours, much of which against a strong headwind. The weather though was mostly kind, with warm sunny sunshine and no rain.
Thanks also to all our fellow riders and organisers and support crew from Sustrans

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
We're cycling the Coast and Castles (and camping!) route on 25th to 27th September 2009, from Gateshead to Edinburgh, in aid of the Sustrans charity. Its been a bit of a last minute decision to catch the last of the British summer, enjoy some spectacular scenery and visit somewhere we've not seen before. Only catch is it involves around 200 miles of cycling along the north east coast over 3 days and, after around 70 miles on the road each day, we are camping overnight....come rain or shine!!
Sustrans works on practical projects to encourage people to walk, cycle and use public transport in order to reduce motor traffic and its adverse effects. Sustrans' flagship project is the National Cycle Network, creating over 12,000 miles of routes ...
