My story

 

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am currently raising money to support Jo's Trust by taking part in a 100km trek across the Sahara October 2010. I need to raise a minimum of £2500 sponsorship in order to participate in the trip.

All of us need to look after our lady bits by making sure we get out smear tests done on time. God forbid anything other than a normal smear result comes back.

Jo's Trust Fighting Cervical Cancer is the only UK charity dedicated to women, their families and friends affected by pre-cancer and cancer of the cervix. They are there to help support you 24 hours a day and provide you with the most up-to-date information on all preventative, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for cervical cancer.

When I got my dodgy smear result, (which scared the proverbial out of me), my severley abnormal pre-cancerous cells and the treatment I went through (CIN3 confirmed, two rounds of LLETZ treatment and follow up in six months), I found Jo's trust website and find it so useful to be able to chat with people going through exactly the same thing as me.

Please help me to help them and spare a few pennies.
