Update July 2012

OK so they cancelled my wave in the Great North Swim last Saturday which was very disappointing. I still wanted to swim the mile so to make up for the cancellation I swam a mile at Ellerton Water Park last Saturday instead. (The pictures on this page are therefore from the Ellerton Swim)

If you sponsored me I will automatically transfer your sponsorship to the Ellerton event or if you prefer you can ask for a refund from Macmillan.

If you would prefer a refund please message me directly or by email and I will send details of how to obtain a refund.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 24th June 2012 I am planning to swim 1 mile across Windermere in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

This is quite a challenge for me having been out of the swimming scene for quite a few years.  I am now back in training, in the pool at the moment but will be also doing some open water training from early Spring 2012 to get myself used to the cold.

Macmillan have given support to many people around me including close family and friends.  Their service is essential to cancer patients and their loved ones at difficult times and I hope my contribution will help them to make a difference to lots more people.
